Sending legally in every region
A plain-language guide to permission, the regional rules, and the tools PostaraMail gives you. General information, not legal advice.
1The golden rule: permission
Only email people who agreed to hear from you, and keep proof. Never use bought, scraped or rented lists. This also protects your delivery.
2Every region is different
EU, UK, Canada, the Gulf states and many others need a clear opt-in. The US allows email without prior opt-in if you identify yourself, include your address and honour unsubscribes. PostaraMail groups countries and applies the strictest sensible rule when you send.

3Your legal settings
Settings, Legal and privacy holds your country and regions, a DPA copy (with your details), double opt-in, consent exports, AI privacy options and tax details.

4Double opt-in
Turn it on so new website, form and API subscribers must confirm by email. It is the strongest proof of consent, standard in Germany, and turns people added by a notice into clear opt-ins.

5Every email carries the basics
Your business name and postal address, a one-click unsubscribe link, and for some countries a notice (for example Qatar requires a direct marketing statement). Unsubscribes take effect immediately.
6Recipients' rights
People who got an email can use postaramail.com/privacy-request to unsubscribe from every PostaraMail sender, ask who sent it, or ask for erasure. You will be told if a request concerns your contacts, and you handle it as the controller.
7Read the rules
The Legal centre has the Terms, Privacy Policy, Data Processing Addendum, AI Use Terms and the regional terms for each country, with a version history.
