AI Use Terms

What the AI features do
PostaraMail can draft email copy, layouts, sequences and personalised wording using third-party AI models. You choose the model for each task where more than one is available.
What is sent to the AI provider
Only what you give the feature: your instructions, business profile (what you do, audience, offer, tone), template or email text, and brand information such as business name and website. We do not send contact lists, subscriber email addresses or customer data to AI providers. Do not type personal data about other people into AI instructions unless you have a lawful basis to share it.
We use the providers' business API services. We do not use Your Content to train our own models. Each provider has its own terms for how it treats API inputs; for the providers we offer other than DeepSeek we use business terms that restrict training use, and for DeepSeek we cannot give an equivalent assurance, which is why it is optional.
Providers and where they process data
- Claude (Anthropic, USA), GPT (OpenAI, USA), Grok (xAI, USA), Gemini (Google, USA / Google regions).
- DeepSeek (China). There is no adequacy decision for China under EU or UK law. For customers in the EU, UK or Switzerland DeepSeek is turned off by default and can be turned on only after you accept a clear notice that your text is processed in China. Do not use it for personal data.
The current list is on the Sub-processors page.
Your responsibilities
- Review every AI draft. You are responsible for what you send. AI can be wrong, biased or unintentionally similar to other text; check facts, prices, claims and legal wording.
- Do not claim AI-written text was written by a named person you are not, and do not use AI to deceive recipients. Where the law requires you to disclose AI-generated content (for example the EU AI Act transparency rules) you must do so. Reviewed marketing email drafted with AI and sent under your human editorial control is generally not what those disclosure rules target, but you must check your own situation.
- Do not use AI features to create prohibited content (see the Acceptable Use Policy).
No automatic sending
AI drafts are shown to you first. Nothing is sent to contacts until you press send or switch an automation on.
Availability
AI features depend on third-party services and may change, be limited or become unavailable. We may remove a provider or model with notice.
