Anti-Spam Policy
Version 2026-10-05 · Last updated October 5, 2026
Our rule: permission first
PostaraMail is for permission-based email marketing. Purchased, scraped, rented or unsolicited lists are not allowed. Anyone adding or importing contacts must confirm that each contact has agreed to receive email from that business, and the platform records the wording and time.
Some countries require more than a notice: opt-in with proof (for example the EU, UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and the UAE). When you send a campaign you choose the regions to send to; in strict regions only contacts with a clear opt-in are included. People whose country is unknown are treated as strict.
What every email contains
- A unique one-click unsubscribe link (and the List-Unsubscribe header mail apps use). Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and permanently for that sender, faster than any legal deadline (for example 10 business days in the US, Canada and Bahrain and 5 working days in Australia).
- Your business name and postal address from your brand settings.
- Regional notices where a law requires them (for example a "direct marketing" statement for recipients in Qatar).
Automatic protections
- Subscription status is checked again at the moment each email is sent, so someone who unsubscribes after a campaign is scheduled is skipped.
- Hard bounces and spam complaints reported by our delivery provider (through signed webhooks) suppress that address on every account.
- An account that receives three spam complaints has sending suspended automatically pending review.
- People who declined, are "not asked yet", or whose consent is not clear enough for their region are never included.
Double opt-in
You can switch on double opt-in for forms and websites: each new subscriber must click a confirmation link before they are subscribed. It gives the strongest proof of consent and is recommended for the EU and UK.
Reporting spam and requests from recipients
If you received an email sent through PostaraMail that you believe breaks this policy, write to abuse@postaramail.com. Recipients can also use the privacy request form on our website to unsubscribe from all PostaraMail senders. We investigate every report and act, up to and including termination.
Your responsibilities
You remain responsible for complying with the anti-spam and data protection laws that apply to your recipients, including keeping proof of consent. Regional notes are on the Legal centre; they are general information, not legal advice.
